A summer Saturday
A ceremony at the water for a hundred and thirty.
A wedding held here in the summer, photographed from the suite in the morning to the first dance.
We reply within 24 hours.
The ceremony was at the arbour at the water's edge, the guests on the wooden benches either side of a petal aisle, the lake quiet behind the couple. Afterwards they sawed a log in two on the lawn while everyone watched, then came the photographs under the big spruce and at the shore, and the bridesmaids at the water. Every guest fitted into one photograph on the lawn above the lake. Dinner was at the head table against the wood wall, with the cake by the window and the first dance under the string lights.
