The morning of, and the dress

The suite is yours from ten. Where the dress hangs, and what grass, gravel and boards do to a train.

The bridal suite is yours from ten in the morning, with a full-length mirror and room to stand back from it.

The suite

There is a full-length mirror with floor space in front of it to stand back, and a mirror for every bridesmaid. The suite has a bar fridge, a small bar sink, a countertop, a coffee maker, and a 10 ft bar with four stools and outlets.

The light comes in from the west from about one o'clock. Ask your photographer to arrive by half past twelve.

Grass, gravel and boards

The aisle at the shore is mown grass, cut short before your wedding. From the parking area to the hall there are no steps, and the 6 ft entrance corridor and 36 inch door to the deck leave room for a full skirt. Bring flats for the walk out if you prefer. It does not show in photographs.

Wind and the veil

Wind comes across the lake, and it will lift a veil. Keep it for the aisle and the first ten minutes, then take it off before portraits. If the day is too windy, we tell you at nine that morning and the ceremony moves to the grove, which is enclosed on every side.

Dinner and the evening

With 130 guests, people keep coming over to your table. Ask your caterer to serve the two of you first. In late June the sun is still on the water at nine. The light page has the month-by-month times.

Before you arrive

  • Ask your caterer for a tray at noon.
  • Give one person your phone.
  • Leave nothing scheduled at three o'clock.

To walk the suite and the route to the shore, book a tour. Questions about your date go to an enquiry.

Is there a full-length mirror?

Yes, with floor space in front of it, and a mirror for every bridesmaid. The west light arrives from about one o'clock.

Will a train survive the grass?

The aisle is mown grass, cut short before the day. There are no steps between the parking area and the hall.

What time can we get into the venue?

Ten in the morning on the Saturday. Friday 10:00 to 18:00 is set-up and rehearsal, and Sunday 10:00 to 14:00 is collection. Both are part of the Saturday price.
